The Andover Golden Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Andover Scarlet Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Andover will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Andover and St. John's Prep squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Andover had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 35-7 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Andover in their matchups with St. John's Prep: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite their defeat, Andover saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chris Dessin, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 43 points the game before, North Andover were a bit more limited in their matchup on November 3rd. They fell 17-7 to Winchester.
Their wins bumped Andover to 9-2 and St. John's Prep to 11-0.
Everything came up roses for Andover against North Andover in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 52-12 victory. Does Andover have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Andover turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
