The Jefferson Panthers had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 46-41 W over Columbus. This was payback for Jefferson, who suffered a 60-55 loss the last time these two teams met.
Jefferson can attribute much of their success to Dalton Noble, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Colt Tietje was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Sweet Grass County the next time they take the court. Jefferson will head out to face Sweet Grass County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Columbus will host them at 12:30 p.m. on December 16th.
