Sam Shaughessy Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sam Shaughessy produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Blaine to the win on Thursday. Shaughessy rushed for 212 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Blaine pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Shaughessy and Blaine will challenge Shakopee at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A Season-Best Performance from Peyton Podany Leads Anoka over Osseo
Anoka was led to victory by Peyton Podany, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Podany threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt.
The win was the third in a row for Anoka, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Podany and Anoka will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayzata at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Big Game from Welch As Anoka Won 55-19
Keeping Podany company is Zach Welch, a fellow Anoka player. He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
