After flying high against the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars on Tuesday, the University School of Nashville Tigers came back down to earth. University School of Nashville fell to Antioch 51-45. While losing is never fun, University School of Nashville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Antioch is ranked 13th).
Antioch was led to victory by Maddux Bodenhamer and Jaiden Claybrook. Bodenhamer scored 16 points, while Claybrook dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. The match was Bodenhamer's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chris Aveary, who scored 9 points.
University School of Nashville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Antioch, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University School of Nashville's road trip will continue as they head out to face The Webb School at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully The Webb School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Antioch, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
