The Everett Warriors will take on the North Star Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Everett is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Everett needed a bit of extra time to put away Claysburg-Kimmel. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.
Cody Spade was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Cornell, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, North Star made easy work of Forbes Road on Saturday and carried off a 9-2 victory.
Max Pristas made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Pristas was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, John-Michael Steltzer and Bryson Durst did most of the damage at the plate: Steltzer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs, while Durst got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Durst has become a key player for North Star: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Walter Regetta, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
North Star now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Everett, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Everett got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 against North Star by a conclusive 7-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
