There's no place like home for the Valley Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Claude on Friday as Valley made off with a 53-32 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Valley found their leader in underclassman Kanyon Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Tucker Schlueter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Valley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Claude, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-18.
Valley will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groom has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Claude, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Owls at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silverton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
