Jackson is a perfect 10-0 against Escambia County since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Jackson Aggies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Escambia County Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Jackson's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Escambia County has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Jackson had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt W.S. Neal on Tuesday. Jackson blew past W.S. Neal 19-1. The result was nothing new for the Aggies, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Zoey Rooks made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Rooks was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jackson got a massive performance out of Gabby Howard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave Howard a new career-high in doubles. Autumn Rocker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI.
Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 13 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Escambia County had to endure a 17-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Hillcrest with a sharp 15-9 win on Tuesday.
The team relied heavily on Zyneria McNeal, who scored three runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliyah King, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Jackson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. Escambia County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.
Everything went Jackson's way against Escambia County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Jackson made off with a 19-2 win. Does Jackson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Escambia County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
