The Jackson Aggies will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Baldwin County Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 642 points over their last nine matchups.
Even though McIntosh scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Jackson still came out on top. Jackson secured a 60-56 W over McIntosh.
Jackson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Micah Caster out in front who scored 20 points. The contest was Caster's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keeyun Chapman, who scored eight points along with six blocks.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Baldwin County at home against Elberta on Tuesday as the squad secured a 72-24 victory. Given Baldwin County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Elberta is ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Baldwin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Jackson was able to grind out a solid win over Baldwin County when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 72-61. Will Jackson repeat their success, or does Baldwin County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
