The Oswayo Valley Green Wave will head out on the road to challenge the Cuba-Rushford Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Oswayo Valley has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while the Rebels will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Thursday, Oswayo Valley ended up a good deal behind the Tigers and lost 57-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oswayo Valley in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Connor Resig, who scored 16 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nik Bonney, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything went Cuba-Rushford's way against the Panthers on Thursday as the Rebels made off with a 58-36 win.
Oswayo Valley dropped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Cuba-Rushford, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Oswayo Valley came up short against the Rebels in their previous meeting back in January, falling 40-29. Can Oswayo Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
