The Warsaw Wildcats came into Monday's game having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They slipped by Climax Springs 35-34 on Monday. For Warsaw, this counts as revenge for the 57-51 defeat the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Warsaw got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Gemes out in front who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Siebert, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Warsaw's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Climax Springs, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warsaw will take on the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. El Dorado Springs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wildcats in Missouri (the Bulldogs are ranked 222nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 478th). As for Climax Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Hermitage and the Cougars are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
