With a playoff win on the line, Okawville rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the New Athens Yellow Jackets. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Okawville's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for New Athens, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Okawville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-7 win against Marissa/Coulterville on the 23rd. New Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
