Even though Juarez scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Chicago Tech still came out on top. The stars were shining brightly for Chicago Tech in a 69-55 victory over Juarez. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chicago Tech.
Chicago Tech's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Micquel Triplett, who scored 19 points, and Jonathan Harris, who scored 23 points. The game was Harris' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jaquan Parker was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ellison has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over Northtown. Given Ellison's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Northtown is ranked 623rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chicago Tech is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Ellison, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
