Estill County won the last time they faced Boyd County, and things went their way on Friday, too. Estill County were the clear victor with a 40-12 margin. They were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Estill County's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 26 points in the first half. Boyd County came up with 6 to make it 26-6 heading into the break. The Estill County defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The matchup brought them to 1-2 and dropped Boyd County to a mirror-image 2-1.
Estill County will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Bath County. As for Boyd County, they will face off against Russell.
