Volleyball Recap: Neodesha's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Neodesha and Collegiate squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Neodesha had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Blue Streaks were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in October of 2018.

Neodesha was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Collegiate work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 27-25.

Allison Stover paced Neodesha's offense, picking up six kills. Stover got some help from Kimmy Combs and her nine assists. Combs was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Neodesha moved to 32-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak. As for Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 16-17.

Neodesha wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hesston on the 20th. As for Collegiate, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Fredonia on the 20th.
