After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middleton, the Alonso Ravens were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Freedom by a score of 49-39. That's another feather in the cap for Alonso, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Patty Kilkelly was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 14 points.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Schroeder, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schroeder has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taniya Pedroso, who scored 13 points.
Alonso's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.
Alonso will square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plant has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Freedom, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Knights at 8:00 p.m. Robinson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Patriots in Florida (the Knights are ranked 230th, while the Patriots are ranked 641st).
