Softball Game Preview: Twin Valley South Panthers vs. Troy Christian Eagles

The Twin Valley South Panthers will square off against the Troy Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Troy Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Twin Valley South, who comes in off a win.

Twin Valley South made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Franklin Monroe, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Jets on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Amelia Suggs was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paityn Cross, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Troy Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Milton-Union, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Troy Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Eschete, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Alaina Rogers was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Twin Valley South's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Troy Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
