The Ada Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Tuttle on the road and fell 64-27. Ada has not had much luck with Tuttle recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Ada saw an underclassman step up: Ava Campos scored eight points.
Ada struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Marissa Sandlin was a one-man wrecking crew for Tuttle as she scored 19 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Allie Rehl, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Ada dropped their record down to 8-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tuttle, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ada will take on Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Ada focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. As for Tuttle, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ada at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
