The West Islip Lions lost against the West Babylon Eagles back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Islip lost to West Babylon on the road by a decisive 47-32 margin.
West Babylon found their leader in underclassman Jaelynn Burgess, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Dockery, who scored 11 points.
West Islip's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Babylon, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
West Islip does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Babylon will be playing at home against Huntington at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
