If Lovelady was riding high  fresh off their  50-0 takedown of Alto last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against  the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats on Friday, falling  82-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Friday (50), the Lions still had to take the loss.
  Kaegan Ash was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 495 yards and seven  touchdowns while picking up 14.6 yards per carry for Mt. Enterprise. Ash is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last 17 games he's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aadin Alsup, who rushed for 108 yards and three  TDs on only nine carries.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Lovelady  fell to 7-1. As for Mt. Enterprise, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lovelady is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Cushing  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Enterprise will  take on  rival Overton  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
