The Central Red Devils will challenge the Sparkman Senators at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Central's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Prattville 6-0. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Allyson Supan, who gave up just three hits to keep Prattville off the board. Supan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gerritt Griggs, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Sevier, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Sparkman gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Athens. The victory continues a trend for the Senators in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Eden Parker was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly White, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Sparkman's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Central, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Central hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Sparkman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Central took their win against Sparkman in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
