On Saturday Toll Gate take on Hope at 1:30 PM. Toll Gate don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Toll Gate have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game against Scituate last Saturday 19-8. The Toll Gate offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Hope, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They were given a punishing 6-62 defeat at the hands of Tiverton. The state rankings had actually given Hope a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Toll Gate's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Hope's loss dropped them down to 0-4. We'll see if Toll Gate's success rolls on or if Hope are able to steal their positive momentum.
