Basketball Recap: Central of Coosa County Triumphs

Central of Coosa County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Comer Tigers by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Central of Coosa County was led to victory by Kaleb Ballard and Lacorrian Thompson. Ballard dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 blocks, while Thompson posted 20 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. With that strong performance, Thompson is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Javon Thomas, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points.
