On Tuesday, Valley View earned a 53-45 win over Perris. Given Valley View's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Perris is ranked 1036th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Valley View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charles Knight, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Knight has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalyn Talbert, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Valley View now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Perris, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Valley View is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Perris, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Heritage at 5:30 p.m.
