The Orrick Bearcats were the 52-49 winner over the Lawson Cardinals when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Orrick fell 51-39 to Lawson on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Orrick has scored all season.
Lawson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Willoughby, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Willoughby's third in a row with at least ten points. Brogan Crawford was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Orrick has fallen quite a ways from their 19-9 record last season and are now at 3-6. As for Lawson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.
Orrick will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Norborne at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Lawson and Bishop LeBlond will round out the year against one another at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th at.
