Meanwhile, Balboa can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Galileo on the road to the tune of 37-0. The victory was familiar territory for Balboa who now have three in a row.
Balboa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylen Thien-jones out in front who threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Smith, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Lowell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Balboa, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Lowell was dealt a bruising 55-14 defeat at the hands of Balboa in their previous meeting last Saturday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Balboa's Dontee Allen-Wilson, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
