The DeKalb County Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 68-57 to Stone Memorial. DeKalb County has not had much luck with Stone Memorial recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Cade Capps was his usual excellent self, scoring 42 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Stone Memorial. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which Capps has scored at least a third of Stone Memorial's points. Another player making a difference was Brady Lane, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
DeKalb County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Stone Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
DeKalb County will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland County is on a four-game streak of home losses, DeKalb County a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Stone Memorial will take on White County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully White County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
