Bell is 0-10 against Legacy since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 2:15 p.m. Bell has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Thursday just wasn't the day for Bell's offense. They lost 19-0 to Garfield on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Legacy waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They didn't even let the Spartans on the board, marking their second-straight 13-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.
Dail Dorado made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Alissa Andon and Stephanie Salas did most of the damage at the plate: Andon went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Salas went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Andon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Janet Castaneda, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Bell's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Legacy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bell has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bell might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from Legacy in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
