Meanwhile, Brighton Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Jefferson Prep 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Brighton Charter has posted yet this season.
Jaziel Nunez was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Potter, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Thunderbird Adventist Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Brighton Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
