Last Friday, Liguori Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-38 to Philadelphia Electric Charter. Liguori Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Liguori Academy saw an underclassman step up: Rydee Miller scored 19 points. The game was Miller's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daviel Calderon, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Prep Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-41 loss at the hands of Academy at Palumbo.
Liguori Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Prep Charter, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
