The Victory Christian Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Gaylesville on Friday as Victory Christian made off with a 74-53 win. The win was just what Victory Christian needed coming off of a 80-35 loss in their prior game.
Haley Hendrix was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 22 rebounds. The matchup was her 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Haney, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Victory Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Gaylesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Victory Christian will head out on the road to face off against Oakman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gaylesville, they will be playing at home against Collinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
