North Hills Prep couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were the victim of a tough 40-20 defeat at the hands of Yavneh Academy on Monday.
Leading Yavneh Academy to victory were Daniela Hargrove and Lilly Yalovsky. Hargrove scored 11 points, while Yalovsky scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalia Lampert, who scored 5 points.
North Hills Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Yavneh Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Hills Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on UME Preparatory Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Yavneh Academy, they will look to defend their home court on December 5th against Poetry Community Christian at 6:30 p.m.
