Meanwhile, Buckhorn was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 53-47 to Pell City. Buckhorn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Guntersville's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Buckhorn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
