The Guntersville Wildcats will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Buckhorn Bucks at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Guntersville will be strutting in after a victory while Buckhorn will be coming in after a loss.
Last Wednesday, Guntersville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hale County, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win.
Meanwhile, Buckhorn was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 53-47 to Pell City. Buckhorn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Guntersville's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Buckhorn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
