Volleyball Recap: Brownell Talbot Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Brownell Talbot hadn't done well against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Raiders walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Titans. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

While Brownell Talbot won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16.

Abbi Gibbs paced Brownell Talbot's offense, picking up ten kills. Gibbs got some help from Becky Hoban and her 19 assists. Olivia Grogan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer lost, don't look at Harlee Hardesty. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and three aces.

Brownell Talbot's record is now 9-4. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Coincidentally, Brownell Talbot and Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will both be playing Cornerstone Christian School the next time they take the court. The Titans will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
