Leading Roanoke Rapids to victory were Kayla Whitfield and Shaniah Daniels. Whitfield dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Daniels dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Daniels' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Bednarczyk, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Roanoke Rapids' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for KIPP P, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roanoke Rapids won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
