On Monday, the Durango Trailblazers faced the Clark Chargers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Durango enjoyed a cozy 38-22 win over Clark. For Durango, this counts as revenge for the 66-12 defeat Clark walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.
Among those leading the charge was Amarie Riley, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amia McKinney, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Clark's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Trinity Tavita, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Paradise Norsworthy who scored 8 points. Tavita is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Durango's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Clark, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

As for Clark, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cimarron-Memorial at 6:30 p.m.
