Bucktail is 0-2 against Coudersport since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bucktail Bucks will look to defend their home field against the Coudersport Falcons at 7:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Bucktail was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 20-14 to Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley. It was the first time this season that Bucktail let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, Coudersport had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Sheffield, posting a 56-0 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Coudersport, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Coudersport can attribute much of their success to Dylan Howard, who rushed for 25 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Gavyn Ayers also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
With Bucktail's defeat and Coudersport's win, both teams now sport identical 5-3 records.
Bucktail was taken down by Coudersport 55-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Bucktail have more luck at home instead of on the road?
