After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parkside, the Snow Hill Eagles were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-46 victory over Pocomoke. That's another feather in the cap for Snow Hill, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Pocomoke lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Donyae Washington, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Washington hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Maddie Esham, who scored nine points.
Snow Hill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Pocomoke, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-5.
Snow Hill will take on Crisfield at TBD on Tuesday. Crisfield comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Pocomoke, they will head out on the road to square off against Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
