The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Hurricane by a score of 55-52. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crimson Cliffs in their matchups with Hurricane: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alyssa Whittaker, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Adams, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Crimson Cliffs has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Hurricane, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Crimson Cliffs will head out on the road to challenge Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine View has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Hurricane, they will be playing at home against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Canyon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
