Two dominant signal callers in Garret Wilson and Treyvon Compton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Oklahoma Christian Saints will be playing at home against the Meeker Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Oklahoma Christian humbled Chisholm with a 48-18 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oklahoma Christian.
Meanwhile, Meeker had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by Star-Spencer at home to the tune of 59-24. With Meeker ahead 38-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Compton and Ajay Lynch were among the main playmakers for Meeker as the former threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes and the latter gained 238 total yards and four touchdowns. Lynch has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Their wins bumped Oklahoma Christian to 9-1 and Meeker to 6-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Oklahoma Christian has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 182.7 rushing yards per game.
