It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pike Road can now relate to. They were beaten by the Saraland Spartans 47-12 on Friday. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Although Pike Road took the loss, they still got scores from Mike Jones and Levi Kelly.

Santae Mcwilliams Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Saraland, rushing for 114 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 96 receiving yards and one touchdown. Mcwilliams Jr.'s rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Kj Lacey, who threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt.

Pike Road's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Saraland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Pike Road does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saraland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 28-17 loss against Parker on the 6th.
