The Palm Desert Aztecs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the West Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Palm Desert comes in on five and West Valley on three.
Palm Desert scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Riverside Prep 108-51 on the road. That looming 108-51 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Palm Desert yet this season.
Coby Christensen was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Christensen has scored at least 25% of Palm Desert's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wil Wilson , who scored 21 points along with three steals.
West Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season. They really took it to Rubidoux for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-23 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory West Valley has managed all season.
West Valley relied on the efforts of Malachi Black, who scored 17 points along with eight steals and five assists, and Elijah Alexander, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 steals. The game was Black's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Palm Desert hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 65.7 points per game. It's a different story for West Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 60.4 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Palm Desert took their victory against West Valley in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 70-45. Will Palm Desert repeat their success, or does West Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
