Baseball Recap: Foundation Academy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Foundation Academy won the last time they faced Edgewater and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Eagles. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Jose Taveras, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Brothers, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Foundation Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edgewater struck out nine times.

Foundation Academy pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Edgewater, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Foundation Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Umatilla at 4:30 p.m. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Edgewater, they will face off against Colonial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
