Volleyball Recap: Lee's Summit North Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Lee's Summit North had won three straight road games and Madilynn Benne did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Broncos came out on top against the Lee's Summit Tigers by a score of 3-1 with plenty of help from Benne, who had 18 digs and six assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last three times she's played.

While Lee's Summit North might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lee's Summit scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maren Moss, who had 13 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Savlin, who had 13 digs and five assists.

Lee's Summit North's win bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Lee's Summit, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-23.

Coming up, Lee's Summit North will head out to challenge Liberty North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lee's Summit, they will square off against Lee's Summit West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
