Scotus has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Norfolk Catholic Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Scotus beat the Stars 38-31.
Meanwhile, Norfolk Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over the Trojans on Saturday, taking the game 57-47. That's two games straight that Norfolk Catholic has won by exactly ten points.
Norfolk Catholic can attribute much of their success to Hayden Brummer, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, and Avery Yosten, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Yosten has scored at least a third of Norfolk Catholic's points.
Scotus' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. As for Norfolk Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Scotus beat the Knights 33-20 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scotus since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
