Lakeview is 0-6 against Champion since May of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Golden Flashes at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Champion will be up against a hot Lakeview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Bulldogs put the hurt on Trinity Christian with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday.

Kalyssa Werner and Mackenzie Stowe did most of the damage at the plate: Werner went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Stowe went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave Werner a new career-high. Kennedy Bartlett was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Lakeview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian only posted a batting average of .211.
Meanwhile, Champion won against Crestview on Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Golden Flashes were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Rebels. The result was nothing new for the Golden Flashes, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Gabrielle Gradishar was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Ava Sylvester was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddison Sylvester, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
The victory made it two in a row for Champion and bumps their season record up to 11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Lakeview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Both Lakeview and Champion just can't seem to miss. The Bulldogs have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Champion struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lakeview couldn't quite get it done against Champion in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
