Heritage Christian is 0-10 against Faith Christian Academy since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Heritage Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Faith Christian Academy Knights at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Heritage Christian was the victim of a rough 75-50 defeat at the hands of Blue Ridge Christian. Heritage Christian has struggled against Blue Ridge Christian recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They took a serious blow against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, falling 69-41. Faith Christian Academy was down 49-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite their loss, Faith Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. John Schleeter, who scored eight points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Schleeter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Sam Akins was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Heritage Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Faith Christian Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5.
Heritage Christian was taken down by Faith Christian Academy 75-32 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Heritage Christian was down 41-16.
