Basketball Recap: Noah Siebert Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Versailles

Warsaw hadn't done well against Versailles recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warsaw Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Versailles Tigers 45-43. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 99-73 loss the last time these two teams met.

Warsaw's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Siebert led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Siebert has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shane Poyser, who posted 19 points and seven rebounds.

Warsaw pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Versailles, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
