After a string of seven wins, the Kennedy Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 53-26 loss at the hands of Eastside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kennedy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from My'Shayla Clancy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Clancy hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for four straight games.
Kennedy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for Eastside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
Kennedy will head out on the road to take on West Milford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Kennedy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday. As for Eastside, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Wayne Valley at 12:00 p.m. Eastside is coming into the game with eight straight wins at home, meaning Wayne Valley will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
