On Friday, the Diboll Lumberjacks ended up a good deal behind the West Rusk Raiders and lost 32-13.
Although Diboll took the loss, they still got scores from Tyrece Mcmillan and Jaydan Miller.
West Rusk was led to victory by Hunter Mccandless and Judson Dotson. Mccandless rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, while Dotson rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Mccandless also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending a pass.
Diboll's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Rusk, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Diboll will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against Rusk on Friday. As for West Rusk, they will face off against Gladewater on Thursday.
