The Clear Springs Chargers won against the Clear Creek Wildcats last Friday with 41 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Clear Springs was the clear victor by a 41-20 margin over Clear Creek. The score was close at the half, but Clear Springs pulled away in the second half with 27 points.
Clear Springs was led to victory by Raymond Edwards and Julian Salazar. Edwards rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns, while Salazar rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
The win (which was Clear Springs' third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37 points. As for Clear Creek, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
Clear Springs will take on Clear Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Brook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 484th, while Clear Springs is ranked 121st). As for Clear Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickinson will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
